The series contains film and sound recordings related to the motion picture film, "The Hudson," including silent film footage that was not used in the finished film. The finished film includes paintings of Hudson River scenery and close-ups of New York Harbor and Ellis Island. Lady Bird Johnson dedicates the American Museum of Immigration, Liberty Island, New York Harbor and shows the exhibits. Lady Bird Johnson rides in a boat with Governor and Mrs. Nelson Rockefeller, Mayor John Lindsay, and Laurance Rockefeller. The film also includes scenery from the Hudson River, Sleepy Hollow cemetery, and Washington Irving's tombstone. Lady Bird Johnson also visits Courtland Manor (5/18/1968) and Boscobel.
